What is Dust?
Dust is the community-managed mascot token associated with Aster, a decentralized perpetual futures exchange on BNB Smart Chain. The token originated from a community takeover in March 2026, carried out by members of the Aster community with the aim of creating a recognized cultural token representing Aster’s identity, separate from the protocol’s native token. Dust previously traded as a pair on Aster Perpetuals but was removed due to low trading volume during a market downturn. Following increased market activity, trading volume and community participation around Dust have risen.
